Masseria della Volpe estate, originally dedicated to the production and harvesting of olives and citrus fruit, is a late 19th century masseria, which now hosts a sophisticated resort that combines exclusive hospitality with an eco-sustainable philosophy.
The restoration project was carried out with the greatest respect for the original materials and has maintained the enduring connection with the Val di Noto countryside. Masseria della Volpe is an estate with a rural chic character, and it has a sustainable eco philosophy that is part of every aspect of its management. The hotel has drastically reduced the use of plastic and produces a large proportion of its own energy (much of the electricity that powers the Masseria comes from the solar panels that cover the hotel’s car parking area).
As well as the friendly and professional staff, you will be greeted by gardens with olive, citrus and carob trees, a verdant park and the magnificent view of the Noto valley, welcoming you with the open arms of genuine hospitality. All the Wellness Centre treatments bring you the beneficial properties of totally organic natural extracts, as do the other soaps and cleaning products used in the hotel.

Organic zero km produce
The Masseria della Volpe estate includes the citrus grove, the orchard and the garden bed, where an abundance of fruit and vegetables grow in harmony with the changing seasons. These ingredients, produced by the Secolo 21 farm, are 0 km and they’re used to prepare the organic breakfast offered to the resort’s guests every morning – fresh fruit, fruit salad, freshly squeezed juices, jams and marmalades. The Codarossa Restaurant also uses the estate’s organic produce with a dash of the classic Mediterranean condiment that brings out the best in any dish: local extra virgin olive oil.
